Shemu’el Namaste  (birth name G. Lorenzo Teasley II)

Born in Shreveport, Lousiana and raised in South Carolina, “Shemu’el” is a graduate of USC Upstate with a Degree in Arts and Science (Political Science) and minor in nonprofit management. Now settled in Spartanburg, SC.

As the founder of #AGEOLD, Spartanburg-based community arts organization Shemu’el focuses on building sustainable communities and developments through art enrichment.  “Shem” is an advocate for underrepresented communities, specifically black creative and entrepreneurship groups.

He provides branding and marketing expertise and creates visibility for artists through his digital marketing content.  Through his previous work as a facilitator for Speaking Down Barriers, a national organization focusing on race relations and healing, and multiple grassroot projects Shemu’el advocates for a more inclusive approach to programming and resources in his local community.
